We're hiring our first UX writer!
Who We're Looking For:

● A talented writer and creative storyteller with a relentless drive to write excellent copy.
● A language enthusiast with superior communication, writing and editing skills in fluent, native English speaker.

Ideally, You Have:

● 2+ years creating written content for digital products (web and/or mobile experiences).
● Proven experience in UI copywriting and copy-editing.
● Confident presentation skills.
● Ability to write clear and succinct microcopy that serves the larger purpose of the product
element you're working on, to see both the forest and the trees
● Familiarity with user experience research principles and practices and how to use data to
provide informed user insights
● UX writing portfolio (major advantage)


What the Role Involves: 

● Create content that guides people through user flows (navigation items, button labels,
tool tips, errors, notifications, etc.)
● Write simple, direct and relatable copy with an eye toward inclusivity and accessibility.
● Apply and and maintain consistency with content standards and evolve Doodle's
in-product voice.
● Contribute to our style guidelines in the design system.
● Ensure UX messaging aligns with Doodle brand/editorial guidelines and tone of voice.
● Craft clear, concise, compelling and grammatically correct copy that speaks to our target
audiences.
● Define the product's content strategy, information architecture, and terminology for a given product or feature.
● Put forward hypotheses and test your work.
● Develop messaging for product tours
● Collaborate with product designers on prototypes and edit copy in Sketch and Figma.
● English native speaker.
● Degree-level written English (perfect spelling and grammar)
● Ability to take ownership of the company's UX writing while collaborating closely with the
product team and other stakeholders, and to defend your suggestions while being easy
to work with.
● At least two years of experience working with UX copy.

 

Some Things We Consider Critical For This Role:

● English native speaker.
● Degree-level written English (perfect spelling and grammar)
● Ability to take ownership of the company's UX writing while collaborating closely with the
product team and other stakeholders, and to defend your suggestions while being easy
to work with.
● At least two years of experience working with UX copy.
