Scottish Enterprise ⟩ Service Designer
The difference you'll make
You'll contribute to user-focused digital projects by analysing data, speaking to customers and stakeholders, and conducting research sessions to identify key service needs. You'll use those insights to produce service blueprints, personas, user journeys, and sketches for the design of end-to-end services.
As the advocate for user-focused design and accessibility, you'll run stakeholder workshops to map customer journeys across different products and services. You'll regularly collaborate with project teams, product owners, UX designers, developers, and other colleagues to shape stronger services in an agile environment.
Crucially, you'll adopt a continuous test and learn approach - regularly gathering user feedback on the team's approach and incorporating responses into service iterations.
The qualities you will bring
You should have a minimum of four years of experience in a service design role, and a portfolio of completed projects. You'll have a background in designing and implementing new services based on research, user behaviour, analytics, search engine data, and emerging trends.
You'll be a strong team player, comfortable with project management and agile techniques. Your solid communication and influencing skills will allow you to work well with internal and external partners.
You should bring an awareness of prototyping and process mapping tools. You'll also have a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of the challenges customers face when using digital services.
Above all, a passion for service design and creative thinking will be essential as you devise new solutions for user-focused services.
